Why Most Forgiveness Approaches Don’t Work

Wouldn’t it be great if we could simply forgive and forget?  Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just easily “let go” of our past, and forgive and forget whatever other may have done to us, or things we may have done ourselves that we now regret?

Unfortunately, truly forgiving and forgetting are not very easy to do.  Yes, we may be able to force ourselves to say the words “I forgive you” or “let’s agree to forget the past and move on,” but more often than not, we do this without truly forgiving in our hearts.

If you can’t truly forgive in your heart, you’re only fooling yourself if you think you can’t truly let go of the past and move on.  In one way or another, you’ll  continue to carry around chronic anger, pain, blame and resentment until you do finally learn how to forgive.

The Problem With Learning How To Truly Forgive

The major problem today with learning how to forgive is this: most of the advice you might find probably won’t help you all that much.  This is because most advice about forgiveness doesn’t go deep enough.   It doesn’t really teach you how to gain a better understanding of the root causes of your lingering anger and resentment and where it originated from in the first place.

Without having this type of deep understanding about what causes human emotions to occur in general, and what causes the emotion of anger to occur for human beings in particular, you will most likely continue to find it difficult to truly forgive and forget.

On the other hand, once you do understand the basic root causes of human anger, including the internal causes which occur entirely within each of us, you’ll discover many new ways to truly forgive.

Good Forgiveness Advice Is Now Available

I’ve been teaching people how to understand the internal causes of human anger for more than 30 years now.  And most people who learn theses powerful principles find that it’s much less difficult to forgive.  They also find that they generate much less anger and resentment in their lives than they did before, so there is much less chronic anger and blame that they need to forgive later on.
